Als je komt neem zoveel mogelijk (schoon) plastic afval mee!/ If you’re coming please bring as much (clean) plastic trash with you!
Plastic is overal: in de supermarkt, in de oceaan, op de meest afgelegen eilanden ter wereld zelfs in je darmen kan microplastic voorkomen. Vind jij ook dat er NU iets aan moet gebeuren? Kom in actie!
Je hoort vast wel eens: "Gewoon je afval scheiden" of "recyclen is de oplossing", mooi niet dus. Meer dan 90% van het plastic dat ooit is gemaakt, is niet gerecycled! Tóch blijven grote multinationals ons aanpraten dat recycling de beste oplossing is om van plasticvervuiling af te komen. Terwijl zij de plasticproductie in 2050 naar schatting zullen verviervoudigen(!) en alsmaar meer wegwerpplastic produceren, nemen ze zelf geen verantwoordelijkheid voor de gevolgen.
Daarom gaan wij Plastic Monsters bouwen, en dan brengen we ze naar huis. We willen dat de producenten van dit Plastic Monster eindelijk eens hun verantwoordelijkheid nemen en iets aan dit probleem doen.

Vanaf 18:30 ben je welkom op de Nieuwendammerdijk 542a te Amsterdam op de Greenpeace NL loods om dit monsterlijke probleem eindelijk een gezicht te geven. Dan sturen we het samen terug naar waar het vandaan komt!
Deze activiteit is onderdeel van de Greenpeace Team Avond, dit keer in het kader van plastic. Het programma is als volgt:

19:15 – 21.15 Plastic Monster Workshop met uitleg over de plastic campagne.

You’ve heard it a million times: "Just separate your waste" or "recycling is the solution", if only it were that easy. More than 90% of plastic ever produced has not been recycled! And still, multinationals keep telling us that recycling is the best way to combat plastic pollution. Even though they’re the ones that might quadruple the plastic production by 2050, they just keep producing more and more single use plastics. All of that, without take responsibility for the Monster they’ve created.
This is why we are gonna build Plastic Monsters, we’re bringing them home. We want the creators of this Plastic Monster to take responsibility and actually solve the problem at the source.
