On July 7th we’re organizing the Trashlesstival at the Ceuvel in the North of Amsterdam! This entire day is focused on dealing with the trash in the neighborhood of Buiksloterham: cleaning the streets and the canals, following inspirational and educational workshops about trash, and turning the trash into new items or creating nice postal packages to send back to the owners of the trash.

You can meet new people while trashdating or go trashhunting with your trashuremap! Collect enough trash and be rewarded with free drinks at the Ceuvel bar and awesome Zero Waste prizes! Returning at de Ceuvel, we will have some live music and the tunes of DJ Hester for musical support, while artists help you to transform the trash you have found into works of art.

Neighborhood initiative WASTED will be present to organize an informative and informal Plastic-a-holics Anonymous meeting. Peter Smith of Stichting KLEAN will give a workshop and lay out his philosophy of everyday street cleaning and making #zwerfies. Finally, in the evening we will screen the documentary From Shore to Sea about Merijn Tinga, the plastic soup surfer.
A great day full of lots of interesting activities and workshops about cleaning up your own environment. Start saving the planet one bottle at the time!
